Who we are
Ravolva is a planning tool for solar-energy systems. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have.
What data we process
- Account: Email and salted password hash (passwords are never stored in plain text).
- Project data: Address, geo-coordinates, consumption data and energy-system configuration that you enter yourself.
- Technical logs: IP address and request logs for operational monitoring; deleted on a rolling basis.
Third parties
If you consent, Ravolva fetches data from:
- Tibber (optional): Your personal consumption, via your own API token.
- ENTSO-E: Anonymised wholesale spot prices for your price zone.
- PVGIS: Solar-irradiation data for the coordinates you provide.
No personally identifiable information is shared with these services beyond what you provide yourself.
Feedback
When you send feedback from the help menu, we store what you write, the page you came from, your language and, if you give it, your email address. If you are signed in, the feedback is linked to your account and deleted along with it.
An AI assistant, Claude from Anthropic, reads the text, with email addresses, phone numbers and similar details removed first, and decides whether it becomes a task in our development list on GitHub, which only the developers can see. The task is written in the assistant’s own words, without your email address or other personal details. Anthropic and GitHub are based in the USA.
Your email address is only used to reply to you and is never sent to Anthropic or GitHub. Feedback is deleted after 12 months, or earlier if you ask us to.
Your rights (GDPR)
- Access: You can view your projects when you are signed in.
- Deletion: You can delete your account from the landing page. All associated projects are permanently removed.
- Portability: Contact us for an export of your data in machine-readable format.

We only use essential first-party cookies for sign-in and consent. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.
